Guidelines Authorizing Payment of Communication Expenses of the DepEf Personnel Relative to the Implementation of Alternative Work Arrangements for the Year 2020

The Department of Education (DepEd) issued DepEd Order No. 11, s. 2022 or the Amendment to DepEd Order No. 38, s. 2020 (Guidelines Authorizing Payment of Communication Expenses of the Department of Education Personnel Relative to the Implementation of Alternative Work Arrangements for the Year 2020). 

This issuance amends the scope of DepEd Order No. 38, s. 2020 (under Enclosure), as amended by DO 035, s.2021.

AMENDMENT TO DEPED ORDER NO. 038, s. 2020 
(Guidelines Authorizing Payment of Communication Expenses of the Department of Education Personnel Relative to the Implementation of Alternative Work Arrangements for the Year 2020)

1. In the exigency of the public service and given the important role that communication must play, there is a need to take immediate action and ensure the provision of support mechanism to the DepEd personnel nationwide.

2. The Department of Education (DepEd) amends the scope of DepEd Order (DO) No. 038, s. 2020 (under Enclosure), as amended by DO 035, s. 2021, to the following:

a. Section II (Scope) - These guidelines shall cover payment through reimbursement of communication expenses (mobile and internet) for arrangement at the DepEd Central Office (CO), Regional Offices (ROS), Schools Division Offices (SDOs), and public schools.

3. This Order shall take effect immediately upon its approval, and publication online at www.deped.gov.ph. and its filing with the University of the Philippines Law Center-Office of the National Administrative Register (UP LC-ONAR), UP Diliman, Quezon City.

4. All other provisions of DO 035, s. 2021 shall remain effective for the retroactive implementation of the policy from January to August 2021.

5. All Orders, Memoranda, and other related issuances, rules, regulations, and provisions, which are inconsistent with this Order are repealed, rescinded, and/or modified accordingly.
