Update on the Release of PBB 2019 to DepEd Employees

The Department of Education (DepEd) through Undersecretary Annalyn M. Sevilla, on her Facebook Page posted an update on the release of Service Recognition Incentive (SRI) and Performance based Bonus (PBB) 2019 to DepEd Employees on January 17.

Usec. Sevilla posted that the evaluation of the 2019 PBB eligibility of DepEd is still ongoing by the AO25 Task Force.

She said that DepEd is not the one granting PBB. Sevilla also said that there is high probability that Deped will be eligible to the PBB 2019 per latest update they got.

"We are hoping that all (including the non-teaching positions) will be eligible for the grant," said Sevilla in her post.

Sevilla also said that once there is announcement from AO25 TF that DepEd is eligible for the PBB 2019, DBM will release the PBB fund to each corresponding DepEd Regional Office that has complete and validated PBB documents.

Sevilla also stressed that the fund and release of PBB shall not anymore pass through DepED CO and it will go straight to DepEd ROs for processing and release.

PBB is an incentive given to government employees in accordance to their performance and contribution to the accomplishment of their agency’s overall targets and commitments. The AO25 Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) sets specific conditions and reviews the agency’s compliance and accomplishments within a fiscal year to determine the eligibility of the agency and its personnel to receive PBB.
