DBM releases guidelines on the grant of SRI to gov't employees


The Department of Budget and Management (DBM) released Guidelines on the Grant of the One-Time Service Recognition Incentive (SRI) to Government Employees for FY 2020.

This Budget Circular No. 2020 - 6 dated December 22, 2020 was issued to prescribe the guidelines on the grant and the funding of the SRI for FY 2020 at a uniform amount not exceeding Ten Thousand Pesos (P10,000) for each government employee, pursuant to AO No. 37.

"The issuance of AO No. 37 is in accordance with Section (17)(iv) of Congress Joint Resolution No. 42 dated June 17, 2009, which authorizes the President, upon recommendation of the Department of Budget and Management (DBM), to update the Compensation and Position Classification System for civilian personnel and Base Pay Schedule for military and uniformed personnel, as well as the policies and levels of allowances, benefits, and incentives applicable to all government employees," stated in the circular.

The SRI is being granted to government employees who are deserving to be rewarded for their collective and unceasing participation and invaluable contribution to the Administration's continuing efforts toward the establishment of streamlined government processes and more responsive delivery of public services, especially in the midst ofthe public health emergency caused by the COVID-19 pandemic," said circular.
